Bench & Bar CLE Well Attended

The Tucson Chapter of the Federal Bar Association sends its warm thanks to Chief Judge Roll, District Judge Bury, and Magistrate Judge Guerin for taking time out of their very busy schedules to meet with our members at the Arizona Inn. We had a great turnout, expanding the event to include a second room.

FBA Tucson Chapter Sends Letters to Sen. Jon Kyl and Sen. John McCain Supporting Increased Salaries for U.S. District Judges

Today Chapter President Brian Laird sent letters to Arizona Senators Jon Kyl and John McCain urging them to support increased salaries for United States district judges.

The Tucson Chapter of the Federal Bar Association supports the pay raise initiative because recruiting and retaining the highest caliber jurists for service in the federal system will promote the administration of justice and help protect the judiciary from attacks upon its independence.

We encourage you to read the attached letters and join us supporting the bipartisan Federal Judicial Salary Restoration Act (S. 1638).
